Vive la République!
We all know it’s France’s national day today, and we all get pictures of the military parade on Champs Elysées and fireworks in our heads, while we think about the mythical storming of the Bastille and hum”Do You Hear the People Sing?”. Right?
So instead of going into any details, CLEW will just refer to this article by French journalist Layla Demay in Huffington Post, and since it’s a Sunday, advice you to do as she suggests and listen to French music, eat&drink French and go to the Coque and play pétanque. It’s easy to pretend you’re French in Luxembourg!
Why not have a picnic and bring pan bagnat? These sandwiches are usually made with a special kind of round bread, but a baguette will do as well. They’re particularly delicious with a glass of rosé in the heat.
