A tree or not a tree?

For some of us Christmas is all about traditions. We use the same decorations every year, the angels have their place on the mantel and everyone knows where the tree is supposed to be.

For others this is not the case, for many reasons; you’re a student who just moved away from home, your place is not big enough, you’ll be away from your home during Christmas, your economy says no, or you’d like to help save the forest. There are many reasons for not bringing a traditional Christmas tree into your living room. Here are some cheap and easy examples to make your own little tree.

With some scotch and a clean surface, stick your tree on the wall or door. Choose lights and other decorations if you like to.

If you’re a book worm, simply pile books on the floor. You can easily make a round and taller tree if you have enough space and books for it.

Pick some branches from outdoors and place them in a large vase and decorate it with whatever you fancy.

Happy Christmas!
