Call me crazy, but this Christmas I will not go crazy looking for Christmas presents. And I am considering whether to continue with my tradition of sending holiday cards to everyone and then receive some replies ‘next year’.
Wrap it in!
For as long as I can remember, I have taken huge pleasure in wrapping gifts. Each Christmas I change the theme, from glitzy paper to pure white. This year I go for rustic, natural nostalgia.
Changing your home without forgetting your head. Prologue of a (crazy) move
Clew’s Silvia has moved from Luxembourg to Sweden: Moving could represent a need, a choice, a great and exciting idea, fresh air in your life – but it could also reveal an unexpected side and a real training for your body and mind. Here’s my personal – and a bit crazy- experience. It is never too early to […]
Do You Think I’m Sexy?
There I was at the kitchen table in my underwear and socks eating cheese and reading about six things men do that women find sexy. Six things, I thought to myself while waiting for the link to open. I can count that on one hand. The article was no doubt bathroom fodder, only I never […]
Wanting what you don’t have
Clew’s Miranda interviews creative expats, but she’s also a creative coach, with her own inspiring blog Create & Connect. Clew borrows from her blog: Very often when I meet with my awesome women friends, something odd happens. These women are all very different. All very unique. All very beautiful. All very intelligent. Moving – a second chance
Moving is the perfect time to re-evaluate your life. Some say there are no second chances in life, but who ever said that has never moved to another continent. Starting over in a new country is actually a second chance. If you want to. I admit – the hardest part about moving can be having […]

Don’t leave the leaves behind
I can think of many reasons to love fall; one of them being mother nature’s beautiful colours, another all the the cosy indoor activities. With all the fallen leaves scattered around in my garden I came up with some simple family DIY activities: Decorative leaf balls I used paper to make balls, but you can also use oasis […]
When friend-ships – or “the roast beef theory”
I have this friend, a long time expat, who has the funniest theory, which we decided over a conversation to call The roast beef theory. What´s it about? His grandmother had this recipe for roast beef that she used to make throughout his childhood, almost every Sunday, and to this day he calls it the best in the […]
Retail’s lure – the expat’s hook
The exterior arrangement of a store should be considered as an alluring exhortation. The resolution of falling into temptation is easily solved by entering the shop – nothing fits better than the assertion “the only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it”. And this is exactly the implicit mission of a store: Shine […]
